Getting noticed through YouTube

I find that many people use YouTube to listen to music. Although YouTube is not only for music videos, there are so many users who make their own singing videos mainly because they enjoy singing but also with hope to get noticed. As you all know it is tough to show your musical talent around the world because I believe that you need to know somebody in the music industry to get a chance at being famous. This is where YouTube has been a huge hit for musicians. By posting videos of yourself singing on YouTube you're now making yourself noticeable around the world. If your video becomes viewed a lot you have a good chance that records deal may contact you and want to sign you. A prime example of becoming noticed because of YouTube is the very successful Justin Bieber. He started off by doing singing competitions in his home town and then his mom put his videos on YouTube so his family could view them. He was eventually recognized by Scooter Braun who then brought him to L.A Reid. L.A Reid has made records with top singers like Beyonce, Mariah Carey ect. After meeting L.A Reid there was a battle for Justin Bieber between Justin Timberlake and Usher. Justin Bieber decided to sign with Usher. He is now one of the most popular singers and most paid. Now I could elaborate more on Justin Bieber but fortunately this isn't a biography about him. This is to demonstrate how YouTube can be a great way to get yourself noticed by performing your talents. I'm not saying everyone who posts videos on YouTube will get noticed but you have a better chance at getting noticed then if you don't upload a video.

Justin Bieber's most popular video that got him noticed.

You will be surprised on what videos get noticed. One person’s life I'm sure has changed since he uploaded his videos is Keenan Cahill. Keenan Cahill suffers from Maroteaux–Lamy syndrome, which is similar to Dwarfism. He started making YouTube videos for fun. The faces he makes and the fact that he doesn't always know the words makes the videos really funny and they became popular. By uploading these videos he has met famous people and has even had celebrities in his videos. Keenan’s first video where he met someone famous was 50 Cent as they performed the song Down on Me. I'm sure Keenan had no intention of becoming noticed but it shows us how YouTube gives us opportunities for anything that we've never had.

Keenan has met : - 50 Cent
- Jason Derulo
- LMFAO
- Katy Perry
- David Guetta
- Hot Chelle Rae ect.

  2. To be honest, I always find videos floating around on facebook and wherever that have thousands and thousands of views for the dumbest reasons. It makes me think that anyone could actually get noticed but I probably wouldn't have any good ideas on what to make a video about! Not only that I'd probably be a bit too lazy to even try to make it big on youtube. Honestly though, with how much our world depends on technology I don't find it that surprising that it's this easy to be big over the internet because then again, it's the internet!
